Konadu Yiadom Gyamfi is a British Ghanaian writer and director based in London, whose work explores psychological interiority, cultural identity, and the tension between the seen and unseen. Drawing from her experiences within both the healthcare system and the creative industries, her storytelling often centres on emotionally complex underserved characters, blending realism with subtle psychological and surreal elements. She began her career in commercial production, working with a range of directors at Leif, before moving into directing her own work across film and branded content. Her projects have been commissioned by brands including Pandora, Smirnoff, and Baileys. Her directorial work has been featured on Nowness, and she was the recipient of the BAFTA Prince William Grant, recognising her as a distinctive emerging talent in British filmmaking. Alongside her creative practice, she has developed community-focused work through her workshop collective Hours. She is currently developing a slate of original projects, including her short film The Receptionist, which examines isolation, perception, and psychological presence within a GP practice setting.
